Customizing your little car is all the rage amongst the kids these days. They add chrome bug shields and hydrofoils to cars that a couple of pick up truck owners could pick up and move. Most of them will never realize that customizing a vehicle isn’t new. Pick up truck and SUV owners have been customizing their vehicles for decades.
They added nerf bars so that their lady could step up into their trucks. They added bug shields so that they could see out their windows. They added bull bars so they could get work done. Somewhere along the way custom truck accessories became less practical. Now customizing your truck is an expression of both need and a look. Some accessories are needed to do a job, while others just look cool.
